Hockey lines, roster & stats

Amateur hockey teams run on group texts, spreadsheets, and whoever remembered to bring the jerseys. Line Manager puts it in one place: drag players into forward, defense and goalie slots; a kiosk mode that throws the lines up on a locker-room screen; the schedule with directions to the rink; who is actually coming on Saturday; season stats; team chat; and roster, document and season management for whoever is running things.

Engineering

Under the hood

Line Manager is a Flutter app on a Firebase backend — Firestore for data, Cloud Functions for the work a phone cannot do, Firebase Auth for identity, Cloud Storage for team logos and photos.

Attendance that survives the rink Set your availability with no signal in the building, and it syncs correctly when you are back in range — without overwriting anyone else's.
Per-team isolation in security rules One team can never read another's roster, stats, chat or records. Enforced server-side, not in the app.
Server-driven notifications Game and attendance reminders, and chat alerts, scheduled and fanned out from the backend rather than depending on the phone being awake.
Multi-team support For people who play on more than one roster, with each team's data kept properly separate on the device as well as on the server.
